I am proud to be the principal of Gamlingay Village Primary School, which is a friendly, caring and welcoming primary school situated in modern buildings in the village of Gamlingay.
At Gamlingay Village Primary we provide a broad, balanced and inspiring curriculum designed to both challenge and excite. Everything is planned with the aim to inspire our children to become life-long learners. We expect all of our children to work hard and to make the most of their time with us. We will help them to develop the self-discipline, sense of responsibility and respect for others that they will need to grow as caring, successful members of society. We expect high standards of work and behaviour and promote an active involvement in school life.
As a school, we highly value our relationships with parents and carers, recognising that a strong, positive partnership is essential to the overall success and well-being of our children.
Learning at our school extends far beyond the classroom. Our expansive school grounds feature a large woodland area for Forest School, a spacious field for sports and play, and a vibrant playground where children can explore, socialise, and build friendships. We also enrich classroom learning by welcoming visitors to the school and providing opportunities for students to engage with the world beyond our grounds. As part of our planned curriculum, and in response to current events, our students participate in activities such as sports competitions, music concerts, farm visits, museum explorations, and village walks, ensuring a well-rounded learning experience.
Our website only gives a flavour of life and the facilities at Gamlingay Village Primary School. To enable you to judge the happy and purposeful atmosphere of our school for yourselves, please arrange a visit by emailing office@gamlingayvp.org or telephoning on 01223 606605. We would love to show you around.
